Location: A coastal city in located in the southwestern part of Oregon. It's known for its picturesque waterfront, maritime history, and outdoor recreational opportunities. About 100 miles to Eugene! Facility: A hospital offering a range of services including emergency care, surgical procedures, maternity services, diagnostic imaging, and various specialized medical treatments. Opportunity: Board certified NP/PA, at least 2 years of Inpatient Cardiology experience (not including RN or training experience) Accepting full-time (80 hours per pay period) and part-time (60 hours per pay period) candidates. 8:00 am-4:30 pm clinic hours 6:00 am-4:30 pm Cath lab hours Opening due to growth and expansion of services High caliber, collegial team Four 10-hour shifts after orientation completion No call and no weekends! Rotate: 1 week in hospital, 1 week in clinic Willingness to provide outreach services to nearby critical access hospitals Low stress, engaging environment Custom orientation adapted to your skills Outpatient Clinic-15-18 patients per day Cath lab-6-8 patients per day 4 physicians on staff The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who is manages cardiology patients under the direction of the Cardiovascular Service Director. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Exercises good judgment, demonstrates effective critical thinking skills - Flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently - Works effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements/situations - Effective verbal and written communication skills - Maintains confidentiality, thinks and acts independently with minimal supervision - Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location - Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with patient, families, other healthcare staff, and other departments - Basic computer skills - Personal responsibility for ongoing educational growth, and collaborating with others to provide solutions for continued patient quality PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: - Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently - Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs - Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision - Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects - Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair - Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids - Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone - May be required to lift up to 75 pounds - May require periodic use of personal computer EPIC EMR Qualify for federal school loan forgiveness program Compensation: Competitive salary range based on experience and training (to be discussed at interview).
