General Surgeon Needed in Iowa

Blunt and penetrating trauma procedures are required
Dates of Coverage: Looking for 1 to 2 weeks per month ongoing while we recruit for perm.
Schedule: 24 hours on call + callback + rounding
Call Schedule: 7a to 7a Friday to Friday
Average Number of Trauma Surgical Cases Per Day: 1
Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2
Annual ER Volume: 25,000+
Percent of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital: 10
Number of ED Beds: 20+
Total Number of Beds: 180+
EMR: Cerner powerchart
Description of OR Staff: Fully staffed
Patient Age Demographic: Primarily adult-geriatric.

Laparoscopic Procedures Required:
Appendectomy
Cholecystectomy
Nissen Fundoplication
Hernioplasty

Board certification required
IA license required
