A large inpatient hospital is seeking a psychologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage. The hospital is willing to cover all transportation and housing costs for the assignment. The hospital is willing to license for this position. Credentialing takes around 45-60 days to complete.

About the clinician's workday

This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week. Clinician can work 5, 8-hour days or 4, 10-hour days. The Psychologist will work with interdisciplinary treatment teams to meet the assessment, behavioral intervention, and therapy needs of individuals with serious mental illness. Responsibilities will include consulting with other team members, providing individual and group therapy, completing suicide risk assessments, completing a structured short-term assessment of risk (the facility uses the Short Term Assessment of Risk and Treatability), developing behavioral interventions, and contributing to case conceptualization and treatment planning. The hospital is using myAvatar EHR for documentation.
