About the facility

CHS provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for adults and older adults facing emotional, behavioral, and substance-related issues. The services include inpatient and outpatient behavioral medicine, acute care consultations, and substance abuse treatment, all delivered by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The goal is to help patients and their families improve their mental health and return to a normal level of daily living.

About the clinician's workday

The schedule includes work hours from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with on-call duties 1-2 days per week, occasionally extending to 3 days. On-call responsibilities include phone coverage on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. the next morning, and potential weekend rounds on psychiatric units, handling new consultations in the ED and med/surg. Patient encounters and calls while on call vary, averaging 2-4 admissions. The required response time is 30 minutes.
