Psych MD Needed in PA

Location: Connellsville, PA

Start:July

Contract Length: 13 weeks, with option to extend

Shift Details: 5 8-hours shifts; 14 shifts per month

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p plus night and weekend call; 14 shifts per month, preferably 14 days on and 14 days off. Will consider 7 days on 7 days off.

Work Details:
• Support staff: RN, super helpful, seasoned BH RN, NP also on staff but may not work the same days as Physician.
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 14 days
• Patients per day: ?avg daily census can reach 20 but typically hovers around 17. ALOS is 5-7 days; up to 10 admissions and discharges per week
• Patient population/age: Adult
• Department description: Inpatient Psychiatry
• EMR: CPSI
• Hospital bed size: inpatient unit has 24 adult beds with plans to open to 29 once staffing permits.
• Skills required: initial psychiatric evals, daily rounding, possible psych evals on medical floor, psych evals in the ED.

Practice Setting:
• Hospital – Inpatient Psych Unit

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Yes, Adult Psychiatry
• State license required: Yes, State of PA
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications required: BLS
• Minimum experience required: 1 year in an inpatient setting

Credentialing Timeframe: Temps can be granted in 3 weeks for clean files
