Job Title: Locum Physician Pediatrics
Location: Richlands, VA
EMR: MediTech
Practice Setting: Inpatient
Board Status: Eligible
Coverage Type: Call Only
• We are needing coverage for the following weekends: March 2 - 3, March 9 - 10 and March 30 - 31.
• Physicians will be required to take care of any newborns and any pediatric admissions to the hospital.
• Call is for 24 hours. See any consults.
• They must be able to do circumcisions.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality medical care to pediatric patients in an inpatient setting.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Utilize the MediTech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
Respond to calls and inquiries related to pediatric patient care during the designated coverage period.
Participate in medical rounds, case conferences, and other relevant meetings as required.
Collaborate with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and other physicians to optimize patient outcomes.
Adhere to established protocols, guidelines, and best practices in pediatric medicine.
Maintain compliance with all relevant licensure and board certification requirements.
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics.
Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Virginia.
Experience with the use of the MediTech EMR system is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Availability for call coverage as specified in the position details.
