Job Title: Locum Physician Pediatrics

Coverage Type: Call Only
Responsibilities:
Provide pediatric care and medical treatment to inpatient pediatric patients during assigned on-call shifts.
Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of pediatric medical conditions and illnesses.
Collaborate with the healthcare team, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and high-quality patient care.
Review and update patient records in the Athena EMR system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and addressing any concerns.
Stay current with the latest advancements in pediatric medicine and adhere to evidence-based clinical practices.
Comply with all relevant medical guidelines, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification in Pediatrics and eligibility for licensure in the state of Michigan.
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in Michigan.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Previous experience in an inpatient pediatric setting is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
Proficiency in using the Athena EMR system is a plus.
