Approximately 120 miles to Des Moines! Facility: A 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital- named a Top 100 Hospital nationally- easy access to all specialists, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and many other services. Level II Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)- staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists & NICU Nurses with access to an on-site blood bank Level III Trauma Center offering post-graduate education programs on site, including Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Programs, Cardiology Fellowship, and Palliative Care Fellowship Opportunity: Join the team of 3 full-time Pediatric Hospitalists Schedule negotiable/flexible- 3 - 48 hr shifts & 1 – 24 hr shift in a 28-day cycle. Avg daily volume of 3-4 normal nursery, 3-4 NICU, up to 8 pediatric patients Teaching responsibilities of residents and medical students Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program is required. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
