Location: Boston, MA

Start Date: ASAO

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details: 3 12-hours shifts, rotating (Day & Night; but primarily looking for night shifts)

Work Details:
• Support staff: Lead APRNs, APRN Director
• Patients per day: 6-10 patients
• Patient population/age: Providing care to infants, children, and families for management of critical illnesses.
• EMR: Cerner
• Skills required: Front-line care and coordination of complex critically ill patients in the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) including assessment, diagnosis, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, bedside procedures, and family centered care of patients and their families. Consulting & collaborating with acute care providers and interdisciplinary team members on all assigned inpatients during daily rounds. Conducting patient assessment and medical history, physical exams, and diagnosing health and developmental problems. Caring for patients with both acute and chronic disease by managing therapeutic regimens according to approved guidelines.

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Yes, Pediatric
• License required: Yes, State of MA
• Certifications: BLS, PALS
• DEA: Yes
• Minimum experience required: A minimum 3 years inpatient pediatric experience - ICU exp a must. 2 years Pediatric NP experience.
