Location: City in South Carolina known as a key regional hub with a mix of business, education, and healthcare facilities. About 75 miles to Columbia, 110 miles to Charleston and 120 miles to Greenville! Facility: Medical center offering a broad array of services including emergency care, surgical procedures, maternity services, cancer care, cardiology, orthopedics, and more. It is equipped with advanced technology and specialized care units. Opportunity: Desired start date is no later than January 1, 2025. Reason for opening: Attrition Schedule includes 7 days on, 7 days off. Possibly flexible according to the arrangement between the Medical Director and Staff Physician. Shifts consist of 24-hour rounding plus call from home. Call will be shared with another Intensivist. 7.6 shifts per month is full-time, 5.5 shifts per month minimum for benefit-eligible. Responsible for providing coverage to a 6-bed PICU Admissions and patient management Consultation with families and referring physicians Working with local physicians/facilities on successfully accepting transfers into the hospital/unit Documentation system/EMR details to be discussed with the Medical Director.
