Pain Management

DETAILS:
Monday - Thursday (7a-5:30p with 30 min lunch) starting Jan 8, 2024
4 days every other week or 2 days a week.
The schedule is 1 week on, 1 week off for 3 months with the option to extend.
Assignment: work under the direction of the pain management physician.
Setting: Outpatient clinic. Low MME clinic.
Duties: see pain management patients. NP/PA is not expected to escalate opiate doses. This is typically only done by the physician.
Required Procedures: None. Procedures are optional. The physician is willing to teach if NP/PA is interested.
Support Staff: Medical Assistant, Front Office, and working under the direction of our Paint Management Physician.
FTE: 0.5
EMR: Cerner PCA
Reason for Coverage: Growing pain management practice. In the process of recruiting for a part-time PA but need coverage in the interim.
CREDENTIALING INFORMATION:
Timeframe: 90 days
Requirements: CA PA/NP license and DEA license
REQUIREMENTS
NCCAA/AANP or NCCPA Certified or Truly Board Eligible – REQUIRED
Active CA License – HIGHLY PREFERRED, MUST BE WILLING TO OBTAIN
Active ACLS, BLS, and DEA - REQUIRED
MUST HAVE INTERVENTIONAL PAIN EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED
Disclose if the provider has worked at any other CHI/Dignity facility - REQUIRED
Covid Vaccinated - REQUIRED
