Surgical Oncology (Breast & Ortho) APP Opportunity in San Francisco, CA

Work Details:
• Support staff: APPs available in other surgical services, RNs support, ancillary staff
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 4 shifts per week
• Patients per day: 5-15
• Patient population/age: Adults only
• Department description: Unit is a mix of Breast Plastics and Orthopedic Surgical Oncology; 100% inpatient, will be following patients across 2 surgical inpatient floors(ortho & breast med). Provider will care for patients, check on post op procedures like flaps and sutures.
Majority of procedures are breast but also do non-Breast procedures such as laparoscopies and flap closures.

• Standard post op procedures like removing drains, removing sutures, perhaps doing a flap check
• Must be comfortable admitting and discharging patients
• Must be knowledgeable of general inpatient management like writing notes, orders, etc.
• Skills required: Inpatient experience of any sort, preferably on a surgical service line, experience with Breast Plastics or Ortho is preferred. Must know how to manage patients in a hospital
• Minimum 1 year exp in an inpatient setting with ortho/breast med

Requirements:
• Board Certification: NP must have either ACNP, AGACNP, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC
• If PA, they must have a masters in physician assitant studies
• State license required: CA
• DEA: yes, schedule 2
• Certifications required: BLS
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• 4x10s weekly
