Job Description:
At least 3-5 years OB/GYN employment experience required (no new grads). Client is looking for a second partner to join a new resident. They need someone who is going to help continue building this established practice on a long-term basis when the original two partners retire next year.
Provider will be a Pediatrix employee (no actual partnership track or ability to buy-in). They can buy into Pediatrix stock as employees.
Primarily outpatient clinic responsibilities with some inpatient rounding
Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm + delivery and call obligations outside of clinic
Call Schedule:
- This will be a 2-person practice once we hire someone (our current 2nd partner is retiring sometime in 2024, once we hire another OBGYN). Depending on how the new partner and current partner decide to split call, it will likely be every other day, every few days, or they can opt for Mon-Thurs, week on/week off. We split weekend call with another local OB group, so the weekends are once every 12 weeks.
- In terms of going in for deliveries when on call, this practice operates with lots of scheduled deliveries and c-sections, so it is pretty light in terms of how often they will go to the hospital on call.
- Lastly, this is a growing practice, and we plan to add a third partner in the next 18 months, depending on how busy we get with the addition of the one we have you searching for. That will lighten the call load.
Call is shared, but they have the option to deliver their own babies if they are not on call and the delivery is not a scheduled inducement or c-section.
Is there an OB/GYN Hospitalist covering the hospital? Yes, but we don’t rely on them to deliver our patients. They can in emergences but they manage other patients and the ED.
Integrated team of Pediatrix subspecialists include pediatric surgery, pediatric cardiology, MFM, pediatric ophthalmology and developmental pediatrics
