OB/GYN Physician needed in Morehead, KY.

Job description

Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)

Start Date: September 1, 2024

Contract Length: 1 year

Shift Details:
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Details:

Support Staff: APPs, midwives, MAs, front desk/admin assistants
Coverage Needed: Minimum 1 week per month, ideally 2-4 weeks per month. Looking for a 6-month to 1-year commitment.
Patients per Day: 20 patients
Patient Population: Older adolescents, adults, low-income, 60% Medicaid
Department Description:
Adolescent gynecology
Cervical cancer screenings
Contraception (oral and implantable options)
Genetic testing and counseling
Gynecologic surgeries (including hysterectomies)
Health maintenance
Hormone replacement therapy
In-office ultrasound imaging
Low- and high-risk obstetrics care
Wellness exams
EMR: Epic
Special Procedures: Full scope of OB/GYN procedures, consults, deliveries, laparoscopies, hysterectomies, C-sections, biopsies, general surgeries
Skills Required:

Minimum 1 year OB/GYN experience
Proficiency in typical OB/GYN procedures (as listed above)
Experience working with low-income individuals highly preferred
Practice Setting: Clinic/Private Practice

Requirements:
Board Certification: BE/BC
State License: Must be willing to apply for KY license
DEA: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Minimum Experience: 1 year required, 3-4 years highly preferred. Experience working with low-income populations strongly preferred.
Credentialing Timeframe: 3 months
Willing to License: Yes.
