Work Details:
Support Staff: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), midwives, Medical Assistants (MAs), front desk/admin assistants
Coverage Needed: Minimum 1 week per month, ideally 2-4 weeks per month. Looking for a commitment of 6 months to 1 year.
Patients Per Day: Approximately 20
Patient Population/Age: Older adolescents, adults, primarily low-income, with 60% Medicaid patients
Department Description:
Our OBGYN clinic in Kentucky offers a comprehensive range of services, including:
Adolescent gynecology
Cervical cancer screenings
Contraception (oral and implantable options)
Genetic testing and counseling
Gynecologic surgeries (including hysterectomies)
Health maintenance
Hormone replacement therapy
In-office ultrasound imaging
Low- and high-risk obstetrics care
Wellness exams
Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Epic
Special Procedures: Full scope OBGYN procedures, including consults, deliveries, laparoscopies, hysterectomies, C-sections, biopsies, and general surgeries.
Skills Required:
Minimum 1 year of OBGYN experience
Proficiency in typical OBGYN procedures listed above
Experience working with low-income individuals is highly preferred
Practice Setting: Clinic/Private Practice
Requirements:
Board Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC)
State License: Must be willing to apply for a Kentucky license if not already licensed
DEA: Required
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required, with 3-4 years of experience highly preferred. Experience working with low-income populations strongly preferred.
Credentialing Timeframe: 3 months
