About the clinician's workday
The position offers flexible scheduling, including (5) 24-hour shifts, (4) 12-hour shifts, or up to (7) 24-hour shifts if needed. Typical cases include 3-7 inductions and labors, 2-5 APU, and 10 postpartum patients daily. Responsibilities cover low- and high-risk OB, ultrasounds, amniocentesis, routine and complicated labor and delivery (including VBACs and C-sections), gynecology surgeries, office/minor procedures, and circumcisions. Average daily admissions are around five, with patient demographics being 100% OBGYN (99% adult, 1% rare pediatric cases). The role is supported by 24/7 in-house CNMs with physician backup as needed and hospitalists always on service. In-house anesthesia is also available 24/7.
