OBGYN needed in CA!

Job description

-Coverage model: In house with 2nd OB MD in the community as back up each shift
-Average patient volume/day: 3-5 deliveries, 15 triages, 1-2 ER/ Medicine unit consults
-Inpatient only
-Procedures required? C/Sections, Operative Vaginal Deliveries, D&C, Laparotomy/ Laparoscopy for emergency Gyn surgery
% C-sections vs. Natural births? 15%
-Annual deliveries/Average deliveries per week: 200 per month, 50 per week.
-Avg. number of GYN surgeries/week: 2
-Are MFM/Perinatologists available: Yes
-Midwife on staff? No
-BACKUP SPECIALTIES (cardio, stroke, intensivists, etc.) Medicine Hospitalists on duty 24/7. Intensivist service in house daytime. Interventional Radiology limited availability
-CODES OR ADMISSIONS REQUIRED: Code and Rapid Response team respond to Codes
-EMR system: Cerner
-ACTIVE STATE LICENSE REQUIRED TO PROCEED? YES - Cannot begin the hospital application process without an active CA license
-PRIVILEGING TIMEFRAME: 90 days from when an application is submitted
-EXPEDITED LOCUM PRIVILEGES? No expedited locum privileges but will allow temps at the creds meeting. Cannot have ANY red flags like prior malpractice, negative references, license actions or gaps
-ONBOARDING REQUIREMENTS (Orientation/EMR training) Medical Staff coordinates badge, EHR access and training, Access to physician lounges, Cafeteria passes
**Vaccination requirements:
• QuantiFERON – if a past positive a current chest x-ray is required
• Influenza (within the last 12 months)
• MMR
• Varicella
• HepB
• Tdap
