Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Needed in Columbus, OH

Contract Length: 3 months
Shift Details: 3x12 or 4x12 per week; need 7 days per week covered. The most the APPs are allowed to work in a row are 4 consecutive shifts.
Schedule: Monday – Sunday; 6:30a-6:30p or 6:30p-6:30a
Work Details:
• Support staff: RNs, resource nurse, charge nurse, in-house attending 24/7, fellows, pharmD, nutritionist, case management, lots of ancillary staff, 8-9 APPs on each day and 3 at night. Providers are never alone.
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 24 shifts per month
• Patients per day: 10 ppd, 25 at night but really on have 5-6 that you’re doing anything with.

• Department description:NICU
• EMR:?EPIC
• Hospital bed size: 673 but NICU is 130
• Special procedures: Intubation, chest tubes, LPs (lumbar puncture), and occasional umbilical lines. This is a referral center so most patients come with their tubes and lines already.
• Skills required: Must also be comfortable working in a level 4 NICU; also looking for someone with a great personality who can roll with the punches with their tenured staff.

• State license required: Yes

• Certifications required: NRP, board cert NNP
• Minimum experience required: 2 years+
Credentialing Timeframe: approx 90 days
