Opportunity: May-August needs: May 11th- 7:30am – 24 hours shift, May 12th 7:30am – 24 hour shift, May 14th 7:30am – 24 hour shift, May 25th 7:30am – 5 hour shift, May 30th – 7:30am – 8 hour shift, June 4th – 7:30am – 8 hour shift, June 13th – 7:30am – 24 hour shift, June 16th – 7:30am – 24 hour shift, June 18th – 7:30am – 24 hour shift, June 21st – 7:30am – 24 hour shift, June 23rd – 7:30am – 8 hour shift, July 2nd – 7:30am – 8 hour shift, July 3rd – 7:30am – 24 hour shift, July 4th 7:30am – 24 hour shift, July 6th 7:30am – 24 hour shift, July 8th 7:30am – 8 hour shift, July 9th 7:30am – 8 hour shift, July 14th 7:30am – 24 hour shift, July 16th 7:30am – 8 hour shift, July 18th 7:30am – 24 hour shift, July 22nd 7:30am -24 hour shift, July 29th 7:30am – 8 hour shift, August 2nd 7:30am - 24 hour shift, August 3rd 7:30am - 24 hour shift, August 13th 7:30am – 8 hour shift, August 15th 7:30am - 24 hour shift, August 26th 7:30am - 8 hour shift, August 29th 7:30am – 24 hour shift, August 31st 7:30am – 4 hour shift September-November needs: Five 24 hours shifts every two weeks December needs: Three 24 hour shifts every two weeks Practice Setting: NICU Collaborate with supervising Neonatologists to coordinate patient care for high-risk newborn population Manage well and critically ill infants using a family-centered approach Majority of patients born at the Medical Center, some transported from region by neonatal transport team or through emergency department after discharge Neonatal program serves well newborns (0-2 per day) and NICU patients (levels 2 and 3) with total average daily census 12-14 Neonatal nurse practitioner shifts are 24 hours in-house, with 3 shifts every 2 weeks for full-time employment Neonatologist support available 24/7, not in-house Lead robust neonatal transport team covering 150 mile radius, using ambulance, helicopter, or fixed wing airplane NICU capabilities include care for all gestational ages, various ventilation methods, central line management, retinopathy of prematurity exams, and standard diagnostic services Common procedures include intubation, surfactant administration, chest tube placement, IV access, arterial blood sampling, lumbar punctures, and resuscitation Daily multidisciplinary rounds with patient’s family and various healthcare professionals promote family-centered care Pediatric surgical services, ECMO, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, and therapeutic hypothermia not available at Munson Medical Center, requiring transfer to level 4 NICU Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
