Interventional Cardiology Locums in Eastern North Carolina

Job description

This NC Medical Center and Heart and Vascular Center is located in east-central North Carolina, convenient to Greenville. They are seeking a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide locums coverage for their established Cardiology practice.

Provider must have ACLS certification and at least 2 years of cardiology experience.

* Coverage needed:  As soon as credentialed - Ongoing
* Shift Schedule: Mon-Friday (7a-5p)
* Weekend Call Schedule:  Friday at 5pm-Monday at 7 am  

Highlights include:
* Inpatient only
* Established practice with 12 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers
* State of the art cath labs with experienced staff
* Average inpatient census: 20-30
* Average number of consults per day: 10-12
* Average number of caths per day: 3-5
* No ICU duties
* Provider will not respond to codes
* Required procedures:  Diagnostic cardiac cath, right heart cath, interventional procedures (STENT, PTCA etc.) insertion intra-aortic balloon pump, temporary pacemaker placement, pericardiocentesis, TEE, and cardioversion
* Travel, lodging and malpractice insurance provided by the hospital.
