Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Irvine, CA- 92618
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: (08:00 AM- 05:00 PM) Monday to Friday
Hours: 8*5 = 40 Hours/Weekly
Pay: Salary Range $25 To $28 / Hourly
Position Summary:
• The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for maintaining a highly professional environment, ensuring a collaborative relationship with patients and physicians.
• The MA will assist with the non-clinical tasks required to ensure smooth patient access and flow including scheduling patients which can include follow-up office visits, imaging, and lab work, and preparation of appropriate chart elements.
• The responsibilities of this position would also include the pre-authorization process and acting as a liaison between the providers and patients.
Skills & Experience:
• One year of previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.
• Basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum one (1) year previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.
• Working Knowledge of EPIC or other Electronic Medical Record system ‘EMR’.
• Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates.
Education:
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program.
• High School (Diploma or GED)
• One-year of previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.
Certifications & Licensure:
• BLS
• Assistant Certification from an approved certifying body
