Job Title: Locum Physician Surgery – General

Practice Setting: Inpatient
Board Status: Certified and Eligible
Coverage Type: Call Only
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive surgical care to patients in an inpatient setting.
Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of surgical conditions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Adhere to established medical protocols and standards of care.
Participate in on-call coverage as specified in the schedule.
Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the EMR (Athena).
Qualifications:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certification and Eligibility in General Surgery.
Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Utah.
Proven experience in General Surgery with a focus on inpatient care.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with Athena EMR system is preferred.
