3 Experienced Gastroenterologist Needed in ND

Location: Minot, ND

26 week assignment with the option to extend

Start Date: September 2024
Contract Length: 6 months MINIMUM or locums to perm. Need long-term coverage for continuity.

Shift Details: 7 on/7 off

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p with 24 hour call on Saturday and Sunday.

Work Details:
· Support staff: nursing, front office, NP
· Amount of coverage needed per month: 14 days per month (inc 2 weekends on call)
· Patients per day: 12-18 scopes per day
· Patient population/age: 18+
· Department description: Gastroenterology
· EMR: Cerner
· Special procedures: ERCP PREFERRED but not required
· Skills required: colonoscopy, esophagastroduodenoscopy (upper GI), sigmoidoscopy

Practice Setting:
· Hospital – level II trauma; physician will do procedures M-F as well as be available for inpatient and ER emergencies and on-call Saturday and Sunday. This is a small health system and very manageable case load.

Requirements:
· Board Certification: Must be Certified in Gastroenterology
· State license required: No, they will allow licensure candidates! IMLC PREFERRED
· DEA: Yes
· Certifications required: Must be board certified in gastroenterology.
· Minimum experience required: Prefer 1-2 years’ experience but if interested in locums to perm would consider less.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days; clean files will get through more quickly
