Position: Psychiatrist at State Correctional Institution - SCI Waymart

Location: SCI Waymart - 11 Fairview Dr, Waymart, PA 18472

Flexible Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with the option to work Monday–Friday or four 10-hour days.

Contract Length: 3-4 months

Compensation: $175/hour

1099 Independent Contractor
Payment: Weekly pay via direct deposit

Expected Hours: 40 hours/week

THE POSITION:

Quality Patient Centered Services, LLC (QPCS) is proud to partner with Centurion Health to support SCI Waymart in Waymart, PA. Conveniently located just 20 minutes from Scranton and near the scenic Pocono Mountains, this full-time opportunity is perfect for a dedicated Psychiatrist looking to make a difference.

As a member of the team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to an adult male inmate population. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting initial psychiatric evaluations
Managing and adjusting medications
Collaborating closely with custody staff to ensure seamless, coordinated care

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:

Qualifications:

MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA certification.
Board Eligible/Board Certified by the ABPN.
Legal Requirements:

Ability to successfully complete the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections’ security clearance process.
If previously employed at a state correctional institution, eligibility is contingent upon leaving in good standing.
