DESCRIPTION:
. On-call Psychiatrist needed for fully secure residential treatment program providing treatment to residents confined pursuant to Mental Hygiene Law 10, Article 10.
. On-call coverage is for evening/night/weekend/holiday for emergent needs/crisis coverage and to address any psych related issues that arise.
. On-call crises can range from 0-4 calls per night.
. The Facility has a funded bed level of 300.
REQUIRED:
· NY state license; active, unrestricted
· Board Certified ABPN
. One year minimum forensic experience. Prior experience in a forensic setting preferred but will consider other relevant experience.
. Must have experience working within a correctional setting, including county jails and state prisons.
. Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
· Crisis treatment
COMPENSATION:
· OPEN RATE - Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience, certifications, housing, and transportation needs, etc.) (Bid for interview closes 03/26/2024).
· Malpractice insurance provided.
SCHEDULE:
. 52 Hours a week
. (16 Hour shifts from 4:30pm-8:30am) 3 days a week.
. One week a month will need availability of an additional 16 hr. shift (4:30pm to 8:30am x 4 days [64 hrs./wk. once a month])
. Must be flexible with weekday/weekend shifts to accommodate other physicians on-call. Seeking candidate to occasionally accommodate more days during the week if the other on-call physician is off during vacation, personal issue, sick time, etc.).
