• BC or BE with 5 years of training
• EMR- Epic
• Trauma level 3- 220= #of beds
• 60-90 days cred
• Interview required- yes
• 7pm-7am/ 7am-7pm
• Support staff- 4 NPs- Locum will supervise
• 100% adults
• PPD- 15-18
Requirements
• Respond to Codes
• Invasive Ventilation Management (ETT/Tracheostomy/NT)
• Non-invasive Ventilation Management (BiPAP/CPAP)
• BLS
• Patient contacts/procedures logs (last 24 months)
• Quality Data/OPPE reports (last 12 months)
• 25 Category-I-CME per calendar year


General Description
Nocturnist acts as the “team captain” during the night for all admitted patients, pending admissions and potential transfers. These individual carries and answers the hospitalist cell phone - distributes admissions, completes admissions, and collaborates with the night nurse practitioner. NP manages most patient cross coverage. Admissions come from outside facilities. Collaborates with night resident. Nocturnist team member responds to all in-house codes/rapids.
