Locum Family Medicine MD/DO needed in Atascadero, CA

Beautiful area in Central CA by the coast right on Highway 1. 20 minutes inland from Morro Bay, CA (beach). 17 minute drive from San Luis Obispo. Right in the middle of wine country.

Top Hourly Bill Rate + Travel Expenses

Facility Type: Outpatient Family Practice - FQHC

Start Date: 12/3/24 target start

LOA: 2-3 months

Credentialing: 30-45 days

Work Schedule: M-F 8A-5P - will accept 4 10s but prefer 5 8s

Patient Volume: 20-23 patients per day - pre-booked to account for no shows

Procedures: Basic Family Medicine- MUST see all ages. Wellness exam, cold, cough, flu, chronic care, diabetes, weight management. Bread and butter FM.

EMR: Athena

License: CA, must be active.

Certifications: BC/BE in FM, BLS, DEA; (Will accept IM but must be able to see ALL AGES).

Additional Info: Perm provider will be on LOA. 1 APP on site.
Phone screen with the area manager- they will decide on offer.
If BE we will need to submit with additional details. Clean NPDB report and license also required with submission. Please include phone screen availability with sub and any additional languages spoken.
