Contract Length: 26 Weeks
Shift Details: 4x10, shifts are 10 hours with a 30-minute lunch. Shifts are split into 2 portions, one half of the day is clinic coverage, and the other half of the day is admin, telehealth, and in basket coverage for NPs out of the office. Tuesday afternoon is virtual clinic where NPs see quick care patients (rashes, UTIs, etc).
Schedule:
M, T, Th, Fr
• Monday: 8-12:30 in basket coverage, admin 1-5 clinic coverage
• Tues: 8-12:30 clinic coverage, 1-5 virtual clinic coverage
• Thurs: 8-12:30 clinic coverage, 1-5 in basket coverage, admin, etc
• Fri: 8-12:30 clinic coverage, 1-5 in basket coverage, admin, etc
Work Details:
• Support staff: NP in clinic will have 1:1 MA or LVN, 15 NPs on service, 200ish physicians
• Amount of coverage needed per month: full time, 4x10/week
• Patients per day: 4-8. 8 time slots, some patients take 2 time slots
• Patient population/age: 18+
• Department description: very complex patient population, seeing a lot of VERY sick patients. Facility is a teaching and research hospital, there are tons of resources for APPs. Faculty love questions and sharing research. E-consults available for NPs when needing consultations with specialists like neurologists.

• Skills required: Must be experienced and competent seeing complex and very sick patients. Must be calm

Requirements:
• Board Certification: A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC
• State license required: Yes, State of CA
• DEA: CA DEA required with schedule 2 and 2n
• CSR: No
• Certifications required: BLS
• Minimum experience required: 3 years of experience in internal medicine or general medicine. Willing to consider those with experience in family medicine.
Credentialing Timeframe: 60 – 90 days
