POSITION SUMMARY:
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Therapist is responsible for providing direct therapeutic mental health services and documentation of those services to an assigned caseload of children/adolescents. Therapist will serve to ensure the Mental Health quality of service delivery and maintain the highest standards of treatment and supervision provided to clients of MVCFS. The therapist is responsible for development of the needs and services plan and the ongoing updating in accordance with our program statement and CCL regulations. Therapist (LPHA) is responsible for providing the monthly allocation of mental health services in accordance with each client’s County authorization and contract.

Minimum Qualifications:
• A ‘Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts’ must possess a valid California License issued the California Board of Behavioural Sciences in one of the following categories:
• Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage, and Family Therapist. * An unlicensed person may be eligible for employment as a ‘Waived LPHA’ if the following conditions are met:
o Registered Intern with the Board of Behavioural Sciences.
o Attends supervision for internship hours and has a signed supervisor.
• “Responsibility Statement”.
o Is granted a waiver Sacramento Quality Management Services.
o Waivers expire 6 years from the initial date of BBS internship registration.
• Experience in treatment of severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents.
• Must meet all standards of employment in childcare established by California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing.
