Endocrinologist Needed in VA (will license)

Job description

I have a client in Fredericksburg, VA who is seeking an experienced Endocrinologist for locum coverage starting as soon as possbile. Here are some job details.

Contract Length: 6+ months

Shift Details: Monday-Friday

Schedule: M-F, 8a-4:30p. Last Patient at 4pm to catch up on admin.

Weekend call weeks start Friday and end Thursday evening - can leave after patients are seen during call week.

Work Details:
· Support staff: Dedicated RN for locum, Appointment coordinator
· Amount of coverage needed per month: Full time
· Patients per day: 15-18. 20 min follow ups, 40 min new patient
· Patient population/age: Adult only
· Department description: 6 Endocrinologists to group, all have designated RN’s and appointment coordinator. No APP’s. Need help due to upcoming Maternity leave and MD moving out of state.
· EMR: Epic
· Special procedures: 80% Diabetes, some thyroid and osteoporosis. No pituitary surgeries or adrenal surgeries. DK is managed in ICU.
· Diabetic Educators are about 10 minutes away and are very responsive.
· Locums are to come in 2 days prior to first clinic and call shift

Practice Setting:
• Hospital

Requirements:
· Board Certification: Required
· State license required: Preference for VA licensed candidates, but will look at licensing
· DEA: Required
· Minimum experience required: 2 years experience.

Credentialing Timeframe: 45 days
