Free-standing ER needs Physicians in San Antonio!

Seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our collegial team at Freestanding ED, an extension of the emergency department
13,800 annual volume
9 ED beds
24 hours of physician coverage
Shift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
MediTech EMR
Trauma transfers to Hospital Children’s Hospital
Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
Open 24/7, daily to provide emergency medical care for both adults and children in our community. The emergency services team is fully trained team and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions.
Radiology, full-service laboratory and telemetry
Specific on-site diagnostic equipment will include: 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipment
Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any facility
24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases
Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image from the ER to any credentialed physician’s office, specialist or any hospital emergency room for seamless follow-up
1099 position - up to 120 hours available
Strong communication skills
Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills
