Emergency Medicine Physician Needed in Bel Air, MD

**MUST be willing to get privileges at all locations within the same group- but can submit for multiple groups, which is preferred**
** Must have IMLC (Proof), DC, VA reciprocity or proof that Maryland license was applied for. **

Vaccination requirements? Current flu, PPD within the last year, COVID (with boosters if available)

Will accept ABEM and ABFM.
Anyone not certified in ABEM will require ATLS (can be expired but must have at least had it at one time), ACLS and PALS. ABFM clinicians will have a limited privilege set and won’t be able to do Deep Sedation.

Must have completed a Residency Program related to their specialty that is ACGME accredited

ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BALS Required? Yes – if Board Eligible or ABFM will need ATLS (can be expired), ACLS and PALS.

SCRIBE COVERAGE: No

APP Supervision required? Yes, standard Maryland supervision for Physician Assistants. NP’s practice independently

SPECIAL SERVICES Stroke Center , Pediatric Emergecny Care, Psychiatric Services (UMUC)
Designated treatment center for sexual assault (UMAB)

PRIVILEGING TIMEFRAME 45-90 days depending on the complexity of the clinician file.
EXPEDITED LOCUM PRIVILEGES? Expedited privileges are an option with a clean file (meaning no malpractice, license investigations/sanctions, NPDB hits for behavior, no involuntary termination from a Med Staff, no gaps greater than 6 months

ONBOARDING REQUIREMENTS (Orientation/EMR training) EPIC test out is an option for those who have used it, and all clinicians credentialing at UM Shore must visit employee health prior to working as well as the Med Staff Office to register with Imprivata to allow them to prescribe controlled substances
