Emergency Medicine Physician Needed in Columbia City, IN

Job description

• Shifts needed per month: 8-12 minimum
• Minimum Shifts Required: 12 shifts per month
• Experience Required: Less than 10 years’ experience to expedite the credentialing process
• Support staff: APPs
- 24-hour hospitalist coverage for admissions
- 24-hour real-time Radiology reading of all studies
- 24-hour in-house X ray and CT with US on call at night?
• Patients per day: 30-50 depending on the location
• Annual Volume: Average of 10,000-23,000 annual patient visits per emergency department
• Trauma Level: All locations are level II
• Patient population/age: All ages
• EMR: EPIC
• Skills required: Physician will manage multiple patients both with serious and non-serious illnesses and injuries including heart attacks, stroke, motor vehicle accidents, severe infections, and pneumonia, and perform assessments, diagnostic procedures, and medical treatments as needed to resuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them to the appropriate medical departments.
• Practice Setting: Hospital (will be credentialed at 5 locations – 1 credentialing process)
• Requirements:
• Board Certification: Must be BC in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or any other accredited Emergency Medicine Fellowship program.
• State license required: IN
• DEA: Yes
• CSR: Yes
• Certifications required: If EM boarded just need DEA/CSR
Minimum experience required: N/A will look at new grads
