Position Summary
The Licensed Mental Health Therapist will be responsible for providing outpatient clinical mental health therapy for a wide range of diagnoses to individuals ages 3 to 20 years old and their families. Our behavioral therapy for kids specializes in creating an individualized treatment plan designed to effectively meet the specific goals of each child and family.
Essential Job Functions
Conducts individual therapy and family therapy sessions in the office and via teletherapy.
Conducts crisis intervention during the course of scheduled appointments with current clients.
Complies with mandated reporting per Pennsylvania state law and submit any reports online to Pennsylvania’s Child Welfare Information Solution, as well as report any suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect to the Director of Outpatient Mental Health/Behavioral Health, Family Support Coordinator, and other staff.
Balances authenticity and care while maintaining professional boundaries and behavior in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards during interactions with clients, staff, and community.
Adheres to the requirements and regulations as set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of State Health Services and Pennsylvania Department of Human Services’ Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
Adheres to the requirements and regulations as set forth by Pennsylvania’s State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors and based on clinical licensure.
Maintains professional licensure as mental health clinician in good standing based on completion of required continuing education units.
Conducts and enters into the electronic medical record within 48 hours, psychosocial assessments, therapy session notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Enters documentation into the electronic medical record according to regulatory, payer, and departmental standards.
