Facility in Altoona, PA seeking Anesthesiology locums coverage Rates: $400/hr Specialty: Anesthesiology Position: Anesthesiologist (DO/MD) Start Date: September 16, 2024 Assignment Duration: Full-Time, Ongoing Position Overview: Facility is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join its diverse and dynamic team. This role involves providing care across a broad variety of cases, including general surgery, GI, basic pediatrics, neuro, OB/GYN, trauma, and orthopedics. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience, with a preference for those who are already licensed. Responsibilities: Schedule: Full-time coverage, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Option to work at Bedford, a smaller surgery center, if interested. Daily Duties: Provide anesthesia care across 12 ORs and 15-16 anesthetizing locations. Work with a team of 21 CRNAs and 8 MDs. Provide both supervisory and hands-on anesthesia care. Typical cases include general surgery, GI, basic pediatrics, neuro, OB/GYN, trauma (Level III), orthopedics, and urology. Support: 24/7 intensivist and neuro support. Intensivists run codes, allowing anesthesiologists to focus on their cases. Qualifications: Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (Board Eligible candidates must be within 3 years of residency). ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required. Licensing: Active Pennsylvania State License is highly preferred, but candidates needing to obtain a license will be considered. Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant anesthesiology experience. Other Requirements: NPDB self-query submission required at presentation for review. Full privileges available; days to privilege approximately 90 days.
