While in Southeastern, Massachusetts, visit Old Sturbridge Village, the New England Aquarium, or the Lupa Zoo.

About the clinician's workday

Day shifts are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with 10-hour shifts. MDs will be supervising and performing their own cases, with 4-5 shifts a week preferred. Comfort with OB, both solo and supervising (including C-sections and epidurals), is required. Comfort with doing blocks is preferred. The types of cases include general, orthopedic, neurological, pediatric (rare, uncomplicated, and always with a CRNA), ENT, OB/GYN, and urological procedures, with no cardiac cases. The practice follows a collaborative model, typically providing 3:1 coverage. Proficiency with the EPIC system is a must.
