Emergency Medicine Physician needed in Columbia City, IN.

Job description

Position Details:

Shifts Needed per Month: 8-12 minimum
Minimum Shifts Required: 12 shifts per month
Experience Required: Less than 10 years to expedite the credentialing process
Work Details:

Support Staff:
Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
24-hour hospitalist coverage for admissions
24-hour real-time radiology reading of all studies
24-hour in-house X-ray and CT with ultrasound on call at night
Patients per Day: 30-50 depending on the location
Annual Volume: Average of 10,000-23,000 annual patient visits per emergency department
Trauma Level: All locations are Level II
Patient Population/Age: All ages
EMR: EPIC
Skills Required:

Manage multiple patients with serious and non-serious illnesses and injuries, including heart attacks, strokes, motor vehicle accidents, severe infections, and pneumonia
Perform assessments, diagnostic procedures, and medical treatments to resuscitate or stabilize patients
Refer patients to the appropriate medical departments as needed
Practice Setting:

Hospital (credentialed at 5 locations through 1 credentialing process)
Requirements:

Board Certification: Must be BC in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or any other accredited Emergency Medicine Fellowship program
State License Required: Indiana (IN)
DEA: Required
CSR: Required
Certifications Required: If EM boarded, only DEA/CSR needed
Minimum Experience Required: New graduates will be considered
