Anesthesia Locum Needed in Boise, Idaho

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 months preferred, with the option to extend

Coverage Details:
• Full-time locums only
• 40 hours per week (schedule varies between 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts)
• Overtime eligible after 45 hours/week
• At least 1 weekend shift required every 3 months
o May include regular weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday) during the assignment, replacing 2 weekday shifts that same week
• Call Requirements:
o 1 weekend call shift per month
o 2 weeknight call shifts per month
• Schedule: Provided 6 weeks at a time

Work Details:
• Coverage Needed: Continuous full-time (40 hours/week)
• Patient Population:
o Primarily adolescent to geriatric (90%+ are over age 12)
• Department:
o Operating rooms: 17 in Main OR, 7 in Day Surgery Center, plus specials, cath labs, endoscopy, and radiology
o Supervision Model: Maximum 4:1 ratio (supervision-based anesthesia); independent roles available at a nearby campus, requiring OB experience
• EMR: Epic
• Hospital Bed Size: 378

Skills Required:
• Cases: General surgery, GYN, ortho, spine, crani, plastics, lungs, healthy peds, eye, GI, structural hearts, EP, endo, interventional radiology, MRI
• Must be comfortable with Level II trauma cases
• Exclusions: No burns, transplants, open heart, sick peds, or OB
• Procedures:
o Perform spinal blocks
o Occasionally arterial lines (not required)
o No regional anesthesia/blocks, epidurals, or central lines

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Required
• License: Open to licensing
• CSR: Yes
• Minimum Experience: 1 year
• Scrubs: Provided by the department

Credentialing Timeframe:
• Approximately 30 days if licensed
• Up to 60 days for non-licensed candidates (pending license approval)
