Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH), under the umbrella of the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Supervising Addiction Counselor (PCN 128306) to join our team. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Work Shift: Second shift, 1:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Location: 1000 Silver Street, Middletown, CT

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Using knowledge of substance use disorder counseling theory and practice to supervise lower-level counseling staff.
Ensuring patient centered treatment focus on both shifts.
Providing group therapies to assist with substance use disorders, mental health from a trauma informed perspective.
Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to create patient specific treatment plans to foster holistic recovery utilizing ASAM (American School of Addiction Medicine) dimensions.
