Job description

Assessment and Monitoring

Conduct thorough assessments of patients entering the detoxification program, including medical history, substance use, and overall health.

Monitor and evaluate patients' physical and psychological status throughout the detox process.

Medication Management:

Administer medications as prescribed by physicians to alleviate withdrawal symptoms and manage detoxification safely.

Monitor and manage potential side effects or adverse reactions to medications.

Patient Education:

Provide education to patients and their families about the detoxification process, potential withdrawal symptoms, and coping strategies.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Crisis Intervention:

Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, crises, or unexpected changes in patients' conditions.

Collaborate with the medical team to ensure a coordinated and timely response to emergent situations.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with physicians, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Maintain clear and concise communication with the interdisciplinary team, providing updates on patient progress and any concerns.

Documentation:

Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic health record system within expected timeframes.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and documentation requirements.

Compliance and Quality Improvement:

Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations related to substance abuse detoxification.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

• Preferred experience in substance abuse medical detox
• Preferred experience in withdrawal management
