Cardiothoracic/Cardiovascular Surgeon (CT) Needed in Dothan, AL-100k Sign-on!

Job description

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a well-established surgical practice in Dothan, Al. The Medical Center has a strong Cardiovascular program and is nationally ranked in the top 10 percent for patient safety in heart attack, interventional coronary, and vascular care. The group has established interventional, non-invasive, and structural heart programs, which will allow the new surgeon to access thoracic, cardiac, and vascular cases. The surgeon will have access to an exceptional referral base with strong primary care and cardiology physician referral sources from 13 counties.

Minimum Qualifications:
Active Alabama medical license with no restrictions (MD/DO)
EXPERIENCED surgeon
DEA certification
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Willingness to mentor the newest eager surgeon
Experience with and willingness to perform TAVR
Practice Highlights:
22 ORs, plus 2 endovascular and open heart suites
daVinci robotic surgical system available
Call shared equally at 1:4
Opportunity to work with residents in Transitional Year programs
IM Hospitalist service for medical consults and non-surgical care
Office located on the hospital campus
56 ICU beds, including dedicated CVICU in a newly expanded unit
Cardiothoracic APPs assist in OR, perform vein harvesting, facilitate rounds, and manage post-op care.
