Oncology Gynecology Physician Assistant Needed in San Francisco, CA

Specialty: Gynecology/Oncology
Start Date: 10/7/2024
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Shift Details: 3x12 – variable days Mon-Sat
Schedule: 6a-6:30p
Work Details:
• Support staff: RNs, MAs, usually only one APP on service at a time
• Amount of coverage needed per month:
• Patients per day: can range from 6-20 patients per day, usually 10-12 patients per day
• Patient population/age: adolescents, adults, geriatricians
• Department description: post op management, some inpatient chemo admin, most work is inpatient management. No OR time. No Clinic time, strictly inpatient. Lots of uterine, cervical, ovarian cancer – range of complex post-op patients
• Hospital bed size:
• Special procedures:
• Occasional wound care
• No central lines
• No big procedures
• Skills required:
• Administering chemo strongly pref
• Must have inpatient surgical onc experience
• Strongly prefer gyn onc experience but inpatient exp is required still

Practice Setting:

Requirements:
• Board Certification: if PA, must have Master's in PA Studies
• License required: CA license required for NP, PA can license
• DEA:
• Certifications preferred:
• Certifications required: BLS,
• Minimum experience required: 1-2 years of inpatient experience
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days(usually closer to 90)
