Client in South Texas is looking for Urgent Care Locums Providers

Job description

- PRN or FULL TIME Hours available- Ideal Candidate can give 8-10 shifts per month
- PHYSICIANS ONLY for this position
- Please source MD's/DO with 3-6 years of UC or ER experience is the client expectation.
***Providers must be BC in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Med-Peds.***
- Hours: Monday - Saturday 8 am - 6pm
- CLIENT PREFERS LOCAL CANDIDATES - no lodging/airfare
***Candidates that are NOT LOCAL will not be considered***
- EMR: Practice Velocity
- For facility, physicians need to have 3-6 years of FP, ER, or Urgent Care exp. and must be comfortable with children under 3 months old.
- Daily Patient Volume is 30-60. Clinics are busy and fast paced.
- Must be board certified in Family Medicine, Med/Peds or Emergency Medicine; requirements for credentialing.
- Urgent Care, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, PEDS experience is preferred. Looking for consistent availability.
- Fast paced Urgent Care Center- they see 3-4 patients per hour.
- Client has strong providers in the clinic currently to assist with training for the physicians to have a good experience with us.
- Daily Patient Volume: 30-40+/- (COVID has caused volume increase. With FLU season upon us, may be more. Will add a second provider as necessary
- Describe monthly coverage requirements: Mostly a single coverage center. 12 hours M-S, 9 hours Sunday
- Describe the make-up of support staff (techs, nursing, mid-levels, etc.): MA’s and RT. No nursing staff
List any special certifications or requirements (including special procedures) needed to perform in this position: Typical UC setting.
- Must be able to close lacerations, I&D, read X-ray and EKG, Work Comp experience a plus as well as DOT cert.
- $1250 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
