Emergency Medicine Physician Needed in CA

Location: Petaluma, CA

Start: Nov

13-week assignment with the option to extend

3 shifts in a row - minimum

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Will accept ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM, ABPS or other BCs? FNP – ANCC, AANP or other BCs? ABEM, AOBEM (board eligible ABEM), and ABFM and ABIM (both with significant EM experience)

Will the facility accept alternative boards? ABPS? YES
RESIDENCY TRAINED REQUIREMENTS Trained in whatever boarded specialty
ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BALS Required? ACLS and PALS needed for all – even EM

PHYSICIAN SHIFT TIMES 7a-7p, 7p-7a OR 7a-5p, 1p-11p, 9p-7a

PATIENTS PER shift 18-20 patients/12 hr shift

APP Supervision required? Yes – On-Duty ED physician expected to co-sign APP charts.
ED BEDS & FAST TRACK BEDS 12 bed ED
BACKUP SPECIALTIES surgery, hospitalists, ortho, limited GI/Urology/ENT

EMR SYSTEM EPIC
ACTIVE STATE LICENSE REQUIRED TO PROCEED? YES

PRIVILEGING TIMEFRAME Fairly quick
EXPEDITED LOCUM PRIVILEGES? Leadership will decide on this portion
ONBOARDING REQUIREMENTS (Orientation/EMR training) 4-hour on-site training + 4-hour orientation day prior to first shift
