Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner- Jackson, MI

• Full-time; shift work (8/10/12 hr shifts), split call w/ another APP, rotating weekends. On-call for Surgery backup (called in ~6 p/year)
• Patients per day: 16 daily (monthly census includes: 12.5 CABG, 4 valve replace/repair, 6 TAVRs, and 1 thoracic aneurysm or dissection repair) – one surgery a day, 2 on Thursdays, average daily census in CVICU/SD is 4-5 patients
• Type of Patients/Cases: Adults, Cardiac surgery, open heart surgery, post-operative management, endoscopic vein harvest (first assist) to support CABG and valve repair/replace, TAVR. 70% Cardiovascular Operating Room; 30% Floor/Clinic
• Procedures/Cases Required: CABG, valve replacement/repair, TAVR, thoracic aneurysm or dissection repair
• Support Staff: They currently have 4 CVOR nurses, 2 perfusionists, 2 NPs, 2 Surgical FA PAs, and 2 surgeons
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Miscellaneous Information: Needing at least 3 years surgical open heart of CVICU as an APP or equivalent volume experience / surgical first assist required / endoscopic vein harvest to support CABG and valve repair / replace TAVR
• 90-120 day credentialing timeline
