EMR: Cerner inpatient; GE Centricity outpatient

Opportunity Details:
A busy Pennsylvania hospital is seeking a urologist for ongoing 24-hour call coverage.

24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
Approximately 4–10 shifts per month
2027 coverage needs are ongoing and PRN, with approximately 4–12 shifts per month
Variable patient volume; patients are not scheduled
Adult patient population
Support from a urology PA and inpatient staff
Morning inpatient rounds required
Emergency surgery may be required
Rounding is expected when the locum performs a procedure and the patient remains admitted

2026 Coverage Dates:
October 13 at 7:00 AM–October 15 at 7:00 AM
November 2 at 7:00 AM–November 5 at 7:00 AM
November 9 at 7:00 AM–November 12 at 7:00 AM
November 30 at 7:00 AM–December 1 at 7:00 AM
December 17 at 7:00 AM–December 21 at 7:00 AM
December 28 at 7:00 AM–December 31 at 7:00 AM

Potential cases may include:
Cystoscopy and stent placement for hematuria
Kidney stone treatment, including extraction and holmium laser lithotripsy
Testicular torsion, rarely
Urinary tract infections
Foley catheter placement consultations from the ED or other providers
Emergency urologic surgery as needed

Requirements:
Board Certified in Urology
Active Pennsylvania license required; IMLC accepted
DEA required
ACLS required
CSR not required
One to two years of experience preferred
Must be comfortable providing 24-hour weekday call coverage and rounding on inpatients
Licensing: Willing to license IMLC providers only
