Urgent Urology Need in New Mexico

Job description

Memorial Medical Center of Las Cruces is actively seeking a Urology Physician for locum tenens coverage. This established service line is currently staffed entirely by locum providers, creating an immediate need for additional coverage throughout Q4. The facility is offering temporary/emergency privileges to help expedite the onboarding process.

With significant coverage needs extending into 2027, this is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking ongoing and flexible assignments. The client anticipates adding 2-3 additional providers to their locum pool.

Opportunity Highlights:
Practice Setting: Clinic, OR, inpatient rounding, and call coverage
Schedule: Monday-Friday hybrid model
Half-day clinic and inpatient coverage or
Elective OR and inpatient coverage
Typical clinic hours:
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Lunch break
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Call Volume: Approximately 5-10 phone consults per day
Patient Population: Primarily adults with very limited pediatric cases
Practice Type: Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Active consult management and rounding required
Admissions are managed by hospitalists
Support Available
Local urologists available for phone consultation
Dedicated nursing staff
Urology technician support
Hospitalist team for admissions and inpatient coordination
Additional Details
