Locum Tenens Physician – Gastroenterology

Position Details:

Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients (limited adolescent trauma patients)

Setting: Inpatient consult service at a Level I Trauma Center

Responsibilities:

Provide 24-hour GI call coverage
Perform endoscopic procedures and advanced therapeutic interventions
Manage GI bleeds and urgent inpatient consults
Evaluate and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions

Required Procedures:

ERCP
EUS
Endoscopy
Management of GI bleeds

EMR System: Epic

Support Staff: No dedicated GI support staff; 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage onsite

Days Per Month: 5–7 shifts per month

On-Call/Weekends: Yes – 24-hour call coverage including weekends

Submission Requirements:
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship
Active Colorado license or IMLC Letter of Qualification
Active DEA registration
Must be proficient in ERCP and EUS
NPDB Self-Query within 30 days

• Advanced GI opportunity requiring ERCP and EUS
• Emergency privileges available in as little as 1–2 weeks for clean files
• Ongoing coverage at a Level I Trauma Center
