Cardiology APP Opportunity – Asheville, NC

• Start Date: August ASAP
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Day & Night Shift Opportunities Available

Schedule Options:
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts
• Facility is actively seeking providers for night coverage

Position Overview:
Inpatient cardiology opportunity providing comprehensive floor-level care for patients admitted to or consulted on the general cardiology service line. This role focuses on general cardiology floor coverage and does not include ICU responsibilities.

Providers will collaborate closely with Hospitalist Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonary Critical Care, and CV Surgery teams as needed.

Practice Details:
• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• EMR: Cerner
• Patient Population: Primarily step-down and cardiology unit patients

Responsibilities Include:
• Daily rounding on cardiology service patients
• Writing daily progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, consult notes, and discharge summaries
• Ordering medications, diagnostic testing, and procedures as indicated
• Performing new consults alongside attending physicians
• ICU procedures when indicated, including:

* Arterial line placement
* Central line placement
* Cardioversion

Support Staff:
• Hospitalist Medicine Team
• Cardiology Team
• Pulmonary Critical Care Support
• CV Surgery Support as needed

Requirements:
• Active North Carolina license required
• Active North Carolina DEA required
• Strong inpatient cardiology experience preferred

Additional Information:
• Credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days
• Expedited start preferred
