NP – Cardiology – Locum Tenens – Newton, MA (Boston Area)

Job description

A well-established hospital in the Newton, MA (Boston) area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a General Cardiology locum tenens assignment. This is an inpatient-only role covering a medical leave starting October 1.

Schedule and coverage:
- Inpatient hospital setting (general cardiology consult service)
- Monday-Friday, 4x10s, 8:00am-6:30pm
- Staffing model: 2-3 APPs with 1 attending physician
- The locum will see new consults and follow-ups for the hospitalist team
- No procedures
- No dedicated cardiac unit; mix of patient care and care coordination

Requirements:
- Board Certification required
- MA state license required
- DEA required
- 1+ years of experience

Credentialing timeframe: Standard is 3-6 months (targeting ~180 days currently). Hospital is not willing to license. References may be requested (2 references prior to acceptance). May involve 1-2 phone interviews.
